Great Scanner for Slides!
I bought this scanner to replace my PrimeFilm 1800, which died, - The Canoscan is so nice and so much faster and easier to use!

Easy to Use, Decent Quality, Affordable Price
HP abandoned support for my old scanner; the drivers broke on MacOS 10.5. Based largely on reviews here, I purchased the 8800F four months ago.

Canoscan 8800F for slides
So far I have scanned 1200 slides. The color and overall quality is good. At 1200 dpi resolution the time to scan 4 slides is true to 2 minutes on my HP Vista laptop.

great scanner, bad documentation
I’ve had the scanner for about 2 weeks and its great. This is my first scanner. I run Windows XP Pro SP3 on a 6year old pc with 768MB RAM.

Fast photo scanning!
I purchased this to scan family photos for sharing and safekeeping. It’s fast because you can scan multiple photos all at one time. I can scan from 3 to 10 photos at a time.
